There's a report on caterersearch.com that Andrew Davis of luxury hotel group Von Essen is interested in buying a hotel in Monaco. Back in April 2007, the Times online newspaper said that he was interested in the Port Palace, which is part of the Stein Group. There's no doubt that Mr Davis has connections in Monaco, as he recently threw a party for Dame Shirley Bassey, a longtime Monaco resident. Other Britons apparently interested in Monte Carlo hotel property are the secretive Livingstone brothers, whose London & Regional property company was reported by the London Evening Standard to have bought the Fairmont Hotel in October 2007.
