Casino - Tourist Office to become primary interchange stops.

From 19th April, TAM and CARF buses will no longer stop at Square Beaumarchais. Instead, the Tourist Office stop is to be used as an interchange point. Christian Palmaro, head of the Service des Titres de Circulation gave the reasons for the change:

• buses stopping at Square Beaumarchais cause traffic jams
• no bus lane at Square Beaumarchais
• desire to improve bus connections at one primary interchange

Monaco bus routes 2 and 6 will continue to stop at Square Beaumarchais. However the Casino and Tourist Office stops are to become the primary interchange for 14 routes, operated by 3 bus companies (CAM, TAM and CARF).

Bus statistics

• 484 buses per day are expected to stop at Casino - Tourist Office
• 5 vehicles max. at the stops simultaneously
• CAM buses pick up and drop off 2200 at Casino - Tourist Office
