Planned renovation work to the Monte Carlo Casino has been put on hold.

Directly after the Monaco Grand Prix, Monaco's world famous gaming rooms were to have closed for renovation work to be carried out. However the six month project will not now go ahead. Owner Monte Carlo SBM, which had called on architect Paul Steelman's expertise, has announced it's considering changes to the decoration, details of which will be announced later.
