The DNA of the Monte Carlo Casino won't change.
Bernard Lambert, CEO of SBM assures the public that when the Monte Carlo Casino undergoes refurbishment later this year, it's DNA will be preserved. The iconic establishment has an old fashioned atmosphere which gives the impression of being in a museum. When it closes at the end of May, work will be carried out on the lighting and general ambiance. All the existing features such as the moldings, colours and carpets will be spruced up. But the tables, which give the games rooms their identity, will remain. Without appearing to modernize, they'll adapt new technologies to create a more lively atmosphere. Work starts after the Grand Prix and should take 8 months, during which the tables will move to the Salle des Palmiers next to the Sporting d'Ete Casino.
