CleanEquity Monaco 2010 takes place on 4th and 5th March in the Sporting d'Hiver. It's now in its 3rd year and has quickly become one of the leading events for showcasing next generation clean technology. A select audience of investors and policy makers are invited to view presentations of new and innovative technologies from around the world.
For companies who'd like to present their products and ideas, there's a selection process that involves submitting a business plan and a marketing plan. So far, the list of expected presenters includes:
Along with technology presentations, there are plenary sessions on various subjects such as alternative vehicles, cleantech investing, and carbon markets. The keynote speaker is Jigar Shah, CEO of the Carbon War Room, and founder of SunEdison . Also participating in the sessions are Neil Eckert, CEO of Climate Exchange PLC, and Paul Clements‐Hunt, Head of the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI ).
This year, one of the event's supporters is the Monaco based Stelios Philanthropic Foundation, which focuses on education, entrepreneurship and environment. The foundation is offering a 10,000 euros Stelios Award for Young Cleantech Entrepreneur, which Prince Albert II will present along with the CleanEquity Awards, at the closing session on Friday 5th March.
