Currently undergoing excavation, the 49 storey skyscraper should be completed in 2014.

Local newspaper Nice Matin reports today on the progress of the Tour Odeon. In spite of the cramped site:

• temporary "micro piles" are being sunk
• two villas have been destroyed
• ground at risk of landslide has been stabilized
• construction meets high environmental quality standards

There are currently 50 workmen, but by 2012, the number is likely to increase to 500.
