Entrepreneurs want offices, not houses

Minister of State Michel Roger hears the needs of young entrepreneurs.

An audience of 200 gathered to listen to Michel Roger speak at a Junior Chamber breakfast debate at the end of September. The Minister of State outlined some of the Government's plans to make the Principality more attractive for business:

  • online business applications possible by the end of 2011
  • appointment of a coordinator to help with formalities and speed up the process
  • legislation on description of new companies' activities
  • making employment law more transparent for foreigners

Comments from the audience broached the need to make it easy for non-Monegasques to develop business ideas. There was also a call to expand office space rather than local housing, and a desire to speed up the rate of change.
