Why is there no Monegasque price index?

According to Monaco Hebdo, the Conseil National recently posed the question to the Minister of State. With the establishment of a Monegasque statistical institute, IMSEE, would it be possible to create an index based on a basket of consumer goods? The Government replied that due to the small size of the Principality, it would be neither realistic nor pertinent to organize the necessary regular surveys.
