On Tuesday 7th September the maritime and airport divisions of the police celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Maritime police took to the sea on board the Vigilante, for sea rescue demonstrations. They were assisted by Prince Albert II and his niece Charlotte Casiraghi, who is patroness of the Surete Publique. Director of the service Alain Van Den Corput and his 42 strong team are responsible for sea rescue, fighting pollution, boat and heliport security, and maritime and air border surveillance.

The Maritime Police at 50 years old
