Monaco Grand Prix safe

The Automobile Club and F1 sign a new 10 year contract.

Fears for the future of the Monaco Grand Prix were calmed at the end of July, when a new contract was signed between Formula 1 Administration (FOA) and the Automobile Club of Monaco (ACM). Bernie Ecclestone and Michel Boeri met in London and agreed to prolong the contract for the next 10 years. Most experts agree that Ecclestone's objective was to raise the amount of money that Monaco hands over each year to F1.

The 2011 race is scheduled for 29th May.
