According to Government figures, there will be more start-ups this year than in 2009.

Monaco Hebdo reports that between 1st January and 30th September this year, 286 companies were registered. The total number of new enterprises set up during 2009 was 230. It's proof that economic activity has picked up according to the Department of Finances. Types of legal entities registered include:

• 148 SARLs
• 102 SNSs
• 23 SAMs
