Place d'Armes bypass

Road works start today.

Work will continue throughout summer to put in place a new traffic system around the place d'Armes. Changes include:

  • enlarging the pavement in front of the Monte Carlo Bar to create a bus stop
  • removing traffic islands
  • moving road signs and street furniture
  • digging trenches for utility networks

From mid-July, the new traffic system will be operational. The stretch of boulevard Charles III in the direction of place d'Armes to place du Canton will be reserved for buses. Other motor vehicles will have to use avenue Prince Pierre and rue de la Colle. Access to the car park de la Colle and the service station will be via rue du Rocher. All traffic traveling from place du Canton to place d'Armes can continue to use boulevard Charles III.
