Prince Albert told journalists this evening that the religious ceremony of his forthcoming marriage to Charlene Wittstock is to take place in the place du Palais. The Prince also said that around 1000 people would be invited, and Monegasques should also be able to attend.

UPDATE: Monegasques and residents are very happy that the Prince will be married in the open air. There's a general feeling that it will allow the whole Principality to share in the celebration and will bring a little modernity to the sovereignty.
