During this week's public sessions at the Conseil National, opposition party R&E has submitted 2 legislative proposals.

The first proposal concerns professional secrecy and relates to article 308 of the code of criminal procedure. R&E want to modernize the current legislation which it feels is no longer sufficiently dissuasive. The proposed changes would provide stronger protection for the privacy of individuals, especially where personal information is being collected by companies.

The second proposal aims to modernize the law relating to the State budget by managing the carrying over of credits from one year to the next. R&E wishes to impose a limit on how much can be carried over.
