Retirement home inaugurated

Last Thursday, Prince Albert officially opened the sheltered accommodation A Quietudine.

The Prince noted that 23% of the population of Monaco is aged over 65, a figure that's likely to increase in the future. It's important to ensure a high standard of care for the elderly, and the accommodation includes medical facilities as well as the usual communal areas. The facility has been accepting applications from seniors with a high level of mobility and independence for several months and welcomes its first residents in April.
