Robillon heads the National Council

Members of Monaco's parliament elect new President.

National Council

As expected, Jean-Francois Robillon was elected President of the National Council at an extraordinary meeting yesterday evening. It took just 38 minutes for the procedure to be concluded. Robillon was the only candidate, and took the position with 19 in favour and 3 abstentions. In a brief speech, he noted that local housing, nationality, and modernisation would continue to form the axes of the UPM's policy, and that his methods of working would be dialogue and consultation.
