Survey shows energy efficiency

Monaco's buildings are well insulated.

A study carried out in winter as part of the Government's Energie Climat plan has shown positive results. It's no surprise really as many buildings in Monaco are recent constructions that conform to current energy efficiency standards. However, the study was primarily to establish a baseline for the Government's initiative to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. The next step during Autumn is to survey businesses and the general public about their knowledge of insulation, in an effort to raise awareness. After this, information and suggestions will be given to help make improvements, with the Government providing finance in some cases.
