15th Monte Carlo Horse Jumping competition brings visitors to Monaco.

The elite riders of the horse jumping world are in Monaco this weekend, competing for the 300,000 euros Grand Prix of the Prince of Monaco, with a further 100,000 euros to be shared out amongst winners. Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline is taking part.

There's a lot of work involved in installing the arena with more than 1100 tonnes of sand to welcome the 80 professional and amateur horse-riders and their 200 horses. However it's worth it. Organizers are expecting 10,000 visitors over the 3 day event, with 589 overnight stays over the 2 week period it takes to prepare the arena and dismantle the equipment.
