French court upholds the order to stop work for one month.

Lawyers for the Vinci Group were in court yesterday in an attempt to overturn the order to cease work on the French side of the construction site. Mayor of Beausoleil Gerard Spinelli put a stop to the work with a court order on 2nd March and the developers don't want to fall behind their schedule.

The ruling yesterday confirmed the injunction, which was taken out because planning permission did not meet the necessary requirements. However the court also demanded that Mayor Spinelli must take a month to review documents relating to his prior decision, which the judge said was irregular and ill-founded.

It's expected that after the delay, a decision will be made in favour of the Vinci Group, and the construction work will start again.
