Data have been published by the Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority.

The report states that the occupancy rate for hotel rooms is up by 20% on 2008, which was a very good year for tourism. Statistics are given for the number of rooms booked:

• 2010 - 28,557
• 2009 - 23,872
• 2007 - 27,704

Last year was difficult for the global tourist industry, but Monaco's hoteliers are optimistic for the 2010 season.
