Another eco-scientific expedition on the Tara.
Two members of the Centre Scientifique de Monaco have recently returned after collecting thousands of corals in the Indian Ocean. Now it's the turn of Alain Giese.
Giese is a member of Monaco's Yacht Club (YCM) and in charge of logistics for the Tuiga. He'll be joining the Tara's oceanographic expedition for 6 weeks initially, but will be carrying out 3 missions during the 3 coming years to help promote the idea of sustainable marine development. The Yacht Club also hopes that their involvement will raise awareness among members about climate change.
Tara is currently in the Indian Ocean with journalists and scientists onboard. Giese will be keeping a diary for the YCM website [1].
