Cooperation with OECD continues

Monaco continues to show its willingness to cooperate on tax information.

This week Franck Biancheri officially signed agreements with the 7 Nordic countries to exchange tax information with Monaco. The ceremony took place in the Norwegian embassy in Paris, increasing the number of countries to 23, with which the Principality has agreements. Significantly, 12 of the signatories are OECD members: France, Austria, USA, Luxembourg, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.

The announcement comes before a tax audit on Monaco is published by the OECD's World Tax Forum. This group of 91 countries has criticized agreements that have been signed between tax havens, and has singled out Monaco's lack of collaboration with Italy and Great Britain.
