Last week Monaco took delivery of 6 new electric cars.
In an agreement with German manufacturer Mercedes, 6 of an eventual 10 Smart Fortwo electric drive cars were delivered to the Principality on Wednesday. Four are for the use of the public parking service, 1 for the police, and 1 for the Palace. The remaining 4 have yet to be assigned to organizations.
The contract with Mercedes is another example of Monaco's policy of sustainable development through increased use of eco-friendly vehicles. To date, the Principality is home to:
