Building relationships with Germany.

Franck Biancheri was in Germany earlier this week to give a press conference in the offices of the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Auswaertige Politik (DGAP). The aims were:

• to promote the policy of fiscal transparency
• to update journalists on the state of bilateral relations

Monaco signed an agreement to exchange tax information with Germany at the end of July, taking the number of agreements to 24, 13 of them with OECD countries. Biancheri admitted that Monaco's past reputation slows down the establishment of relations with investors, but hopes that this will soon change.
