Besides the results of the survey on the image of Monaco, Government officials talked about eco-politics and training during their 4th seminar this week.
Cyril Gomez, Director of Environment reported on eco-friendly policies related to purchasing, building site standards, and efforts to raise awareness internally. There was also good news about training. In the past 2 years, 1139 officials have taken courses in IT, languages and to further their professional development. The HR department was pleased to see the successful introduction of the Pass Restaurant. After a year, 67% of personnel have paid 7 euros to join the scheme that allows members to eat lunch for less at 60 partner restaurants.
However the most memorable moment of the seminar was the standing ovation given to Jean-Paul Proust who steps down from the post of Minister of State in a few weeks. Proust spoke of his pleasure in working with such an ambitious administration over the past 5 years. He recalled several achievements:
