Monaco still expensive for property

A survey by Wealth Bulletin claims Monaco's Avenue Princesse Grace is the most expensive street in the world.

According to the study, a modest apartment with a view will set you back 84,985 euros per square meter, although it's not clear if this is an asking price or an actual transaction. The survey also claims that prices have dropped significantly since last year, whereas a Knight Frank study in 2008 valued property in the Principality at an average 51,000 euros per square meter (see Monaco home to most expensive property).

Whatever the price, it'll cost you nothing to take a pleasant stroll along Avenue Princesse Grace, which runs from the old Mirabeau Hotel (now an apartment block) along the sea front, past the the Grimaldi Forum and Larvotto Beach, to the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and the border with Roquebrune in France.
