After a break of 2 years, the Next Generation Entrepreneurs Forum (NGEF) is going ahead in 3 weeks time.
The conference is being held on 12 and 13 March in the Camille Blanc room of the Grimaldi Forum and takes the same format as previous years, with keynote speakers, networking lunches, discussion forums and a business plan competition.
Originally the NGEF developed from the interests of a group of students at the International University of Monaco (IUM) who wanted to learn from the experience of entrepreneurs, investors and the local business community. Following on from a number of after-class presentations and discussions organised by the student entrrepreneurs, the first NGEF conference was held in 2003.
This year, the sessions are being opened on Thursday by Stelios Haji-Ioannou, founder of EasyJet, and on Friday by Richard Farleigh, best known for his appearances on the BBC's Dragon's Den programme. Ex-IUM student entrepreneurs appearing over the two days include Alexander Frisenberg of Zelective Group and Johannes Pinl of MARSS, who is also a founding member of the NGEF. Other panelists include Daniele de Winter, Barend van der Vorm, Mark Dixon of Regus and Walter de Brouwer.
