Monaco Telecom to broadcast Chinese news services in the Principality.

Martin Peronnet of Monaco Telecom joined the delegation in China [1] earlier this week to celebrate Monaco day at the World Expo. He took the opportunity to sign a contract this morning with the President of China International Television Corporation (CITVC) Li Jian, licensing Monaco Telecom to broadcast 4 Chinese TV channels:

• CCTV-4 in Chinese
• CCTV News in English
• CCTV French
• CCTV Spanish

The channels enhance the new digital service launched in the Principality in June [2]. Folowing the introduction of digital TV Monaco Telecom saw daily sales figures equivalent to its monthly figures before the launch of the new service.
